About Rev. Pat

Rev. Patricia Bessey is a longtime spiritual leader, educator, and guide whose ministry is rooted in compassion, wisdom, and a deep respect for the unfolding journey of every life.

Ordained in Unity in 1996, Rev. Pat has devoted decades to walking alongside individuals and communities through seasons of growth, transition, healing, and renewal. Her work is shaped by a steady belief in the inherent worth of every person and a gentle confidence in the power of spiritual principles lived with intention.

Before returning to Maine, Rev. Pat co-founded Christ Unity Oceanside in Virginia Beach, Virginia, alongside her husband, Rev. LeRoy Lowell. Together they served that community for ten years, building a ministry grounded in education, inclusion, and spiritual empowerment. In 2011, she joined Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, bringing with her a depth of experience and a calm, guiding presence that continues to shape the ministry today.

Throughout her career, Rev. Pat has served Unity communities as a minister, seminar leader, retreat facilitator, church consultant, spiritual counselor, and life coach. She has also contributed at the national level, including her service as Co-Chair of the Standards Team at Unity Worldwide Ministries. In recognition of her leadership and dedication, she received the Charles Fillmore Award for Leadership in 2015.

At the heart of Rev. Pat’s ministry is a simple and powerful commitment: to help people reconnect with their inner wisdom, navigate life with clarity and grace, and live more fully aligned with love, peace, and possibility. Whether teaching, listening, or offering guidance, she meets people exactly where they are — with respect, warmth, and unwavering encouragement.

Rev. Pat welcomes conversation, connection, and the opportunity to support those seeking spiritual grounding, insight, or companionship on their path.

  • Maya Manseau

Maya Manseau is an author, artist, and community builder devoted to creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and one another.

After the death of her daughter in 2013, Maya began a personal journey in search of peace. Along the way, she redefined peace not as the absence of hardship, but as an inner state of being — one marked by contentment, joy, and meaningful connection regardless of circumstance. This understanding became the foundation of her life’s work: helping others discover their own definition of peace.

Maya is the published author of four books, three of which have achieved international best-seller status:

Navigating the Small Business Path: 10 Steps to Doing What You Love, Earning Your Dream Life (2024)

Living Intentionally After Loss: 8 Steps to Reclaiming Your Passion (2023)

The Photographer’s Focus: Do What You Love, Tell Clients’ Stories Through Images, and Have the Business of Your Dreams (2023)

The Sacred Art of Honoring Grief: Lessons Learned from the Loss of a Child (2022)

Her writing explores themes of inner truth, resilience, belonging, and the courage to live with integrity.

In addition to her work as an author, Maya is the founder of the House of Breath Sanctuary, an emerging community space dedicated to connection, reflection, and shared humanity. The sanctuary is being developed as a place where people can gather without agenda, explore meaning together, and experience belonging through presence rather than performance.

Maya brings a thoughtful, values-driven perspective to leadership, grounded in lived experience, deep listening, and a commitment to honoring both individual truth and collective well-being.
